Hello! My name is Amy Altman, a Pasadena native, foodie enthusiast, and a freshman studying Journalism at the University of Southern California. To avoid putting you through absolute boredom, I will tell you who Amy Altman is in speed-dating-fashion with three random facts. It may already be telling, but I am a lover of food. Second, I love adventures, but not adventure parks. I would rather spend my day hiking, working out, or swimming in the ocean than spend 12 hours at Disneyland, no offense. However, I have broken a record at the happiest place on earth for going on Grizzly River Run, 31 times in less than one hour. Lastly, I love to meet new people. I think this planet, which is comprised of more than 7 billion people, contains such fascinating human beings, who have incredible stories to share.
With this blog, I will be posting content related to my interests and identity. My inspiration comes from a variety of news sources and thought-provoking outlets. Regularly, I consume my news from The Associated Press, NPR, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, and The Atlantic. As for individual sources and organizations, I have a range of people I follow from social justice photographers on instagram to artists on Spotify to foreign news correspondents. In addition to these three categories that provide social, artistic, and literary information, I also follow food accounts and female leaders!
